The light at Ark never fails to amaze me and it’s so much fun exploring new ideas. Beka could only make an evening test shoot and that challenged me, but presented new opportunities.
Glen had spotted this lighting pattern, coming from the light outside the windows late in the evening, but not had chance to shoot it. Beka and I put it to good use in this set.
The D850 came into it’s own shooting at ISO2000 on a 50mm lens at f1.8. I used the autofocus system too and it came up trumps in finding Beka in the gloom.
Positioning her was vital to get the best from the scraps of light coming through the windows. She then rocked a variety of poses. It was so gloomy I couldn’t actually see her throughout the shoot but knew she was doing great things.
I hope you agree.
